A New Arts Center in Henderson
Vignettes art gallery has offered contemporary and classical art to the Las Vegas area for the past sixteen years. First at their gallery at The Fashion Show Mall and now at their larger Arts Center at 1714 West Horizon Ridge Pkwy in Henderson, NV. The newly reconfigured space features the gallery with thousands of original paintings, sculpture, art glass, costume and fine jewelry and stunning Lalique glass. Local, national and international artists such as Salvador Dali, Alexei Burtirsky, Bruno DiMaio, Sam Park, Yuroz, Jurgen Aldag, Ruby Mazur, Jim Stallings, Hu Jun Di, Edward Gordon and Jane Seymour are represented by both original paintings and limited edition prints. A boutique containing contemporary and vintage clothing with an artistic flair is also in the center.
Vignettes Arts Center has a teaching studio where art glass making is taught by master glass artist Toni Craft. Painting and drawing classes for adults and young adults are held by classical figurative artist Donovan Fitzgerald.
Beginner and advanced classes are available in both categories on a weekly basis.
"All Things Small" a Doll, Doll House and Miniatures Museum curated by Vignettes owner Barbara Lee Woollen is the third portion of Vignettes Art Center. The only museum of its kind in Nevada (or probably anywhere), it displays a diverse collection of antique, contemporary and rare dolls in unique scenes. Over thirty Doll Houses are displayed throughout the museum each containing interesting 'scenes' or 'vignettes' from castles, dragons cowboys and Native Americans to brides and fairy tales, just to name a few. Characters from movies, television and history come alive to tell their unique stories. All museum proceeds go to the B&B Woollen Foundation, a 501c3 charitable foundation benefitting children and the arts.
Vignettes Art Gallery is open Tuesday through Friday 10 AM until 5PM, Saturday 9AM until 4PM, Sunday 10 AM until 3 PM or by appointment.
“The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls.”
